We had the good fortune of connecting with Al Chauncy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Al, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
That your relationships are the building blocks to your success. Your network is your networth.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Al Chauncy The Son of Soul is classified as a super entertainer. Actor, Soul Singer and band leader of modern Soul band “The Al Chauncy Show”. the band consist of a 4 piece with “DJ Base” and three dynamic background vocalist. Their musical style is impeccable… Raw soul music with a hip-hop funk essence. Al Chauncy is also a theatre actor who is working on TV/Film projects in Atlanta,GA

I’ve gotten to where I am today through perseverance and patience. Not being in the past and not being in the future… Just being present and taking one day at a time.

I’m most proud and excited about my new video and single release “Richard Hart” (Rich at Heart) it’s a clever song and a play on words that Paints a picture of your everyday guy “Richard Hart” who has dreams of making it Big one day. Very soulful groove that will be available January 2022

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m more of a nature guy. I enjoy Chattahoochie river park, Kennesaw Mountain, and places that feel like freedom. We’re already congested in Atlanta traffic and even in venues… I just like to be in a chill environment. But when the homies come down, I’ll take them to Magic, The Battery, I don’t know why everybody wanna go to Lenox, but hey!! And The Glen Hotel has a nice rooftop looking over the city… As well as Ponce City Market and The Claremont Hotel.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mentor Christopher “Traxx” Rogers

He’s the creative genius and visionary behind “The Son of Soul” Al Chauncy. He mentored me in the business of music and artist development over the past 10 years. He’s the only one who has never giving up on me and has been consistent on our musical journey. He’s taught me music publishing, the art of patience, vocal coaching, songwriting, friendship and the confidence of the greatest entertainer alive. People like him deserves their flowers now. So I dedicate this to “Traxx”.
