We had the good fortune of connecting with Biancah Joydaí and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Biancah, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Rapper 50cent once said “ Success does not happen overnight. You have to keep going, if the content that you have created only receives 10 views keep going, your building your catalog.” This quote simply changed my life. The biggest lesson that social media has taught me is that most times lasting success is not instant. Often times content creators (including myself) get discouraged when our content does not preform as well as we’d hoped, however the likes and views don’t not dictate the quality of the content. When it’s your season no thing or no one can stop what God has promised to you so keep going! I love what I do, and I love every last person that supports me. I would not be where I am without them.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Growing up in a family of seven children you’re always looking for a way to stand out. Often times for me that was singing, acting, and makeup. Ever since I was a young girl I would always watch my mom As she applied her makeup in the mirror. Every other day I would ask her“Mommy when can I wear makeup?” and I would be hit with the response of “Biancah your too young..” so then I would ask “When am I going to be old?” to that she would just laugh. The day finally came.. my junior year of high school I was officially old enough to start wearing makeup. I didn’t know where to start so I just went to YouTube. After watching 10 million YouTube videos I felt that I was already a make up guru in the making! The funny thing is while I was in high school I never thought of pursuing make up and content creating as a career. I was going to be a teacher. I got a scholarship to a great private college; every thing was going to plan. But after my graduation I came to the realization that my heart longed for something else. I officially began my journey as a content creator April/1/2020. When I first started my journey I thought that it was going to be easy and within no time I would blow up and I would have millions of followers and viral videos. Needless to say that didn’t happen. Often times we as people want things in our time however, just because we feel in that moment that we are ready for that next step does not mean we are. I look back in the past and all the times that I thought I was ready to have that breakthrough moment, I wasn’t. In the beginning I was so focused on being the “typical beauty guru”, doing tutorials voice overs etc. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but I was not showing who I actually was in that type of content. It’s when I incorporated my love for acting and singing into my content that I really began to see a dramatic increase in my analytics. I say that to say, don’t be so quick to want to fit in because it’s in those moments where you are being your true genuine self that you shine like a star. My journey is far from over I am still a work in progress, but I am so proud to see how far god has brought me. This journey is full of hard work and dedication but I promise When you run your own race and be genuine to yourself only good things will attract.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am newly relocated to the Atlanta Georgia area. So right now I’m exploring the city in a very “touristic” manner. I’m learning new things and meeting new people everyday. With that being said we would explore all of the major Atlanta sites together!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I give all glory and honor to God himself. He has blessed me with such an amazing support system in my family. The road that I am walking is not one that is familiar to anyone in my family however that has not discouraged their support of me. Wether it be with wise words of wisdom, liking and viewing my content, or just affirming my journey they do it all and I genuinely appreciate that from the bottom of my heart.
