Hi Grace, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking

I believe that every success story has a risk involved. Honestly, I wasn’t much of a BIG risk-taker. I followed the American Dream by going to school to get a Master’s Degree in Public Administration to pursue my HR career. I’ve always had the heart and urge to help others. Yet, in my role, I still felt unfulfilled and mentally drained.

The biggest risk I have taken was leaving my full-time career as a Human Resources Consultant to pursue my dreams and aspirations of peace, joy, and financial freedom. I remember it just like it was yesterday. It was COVID, my job started making us come back to the office in person, and I was just over it mentally. To date, this is one of the scariest things that I have ever done. As a single female, financial stability and security are so important. To walk away from security and stability felt bold and empowering yet irrational. No plan, no rich family, no savings, just me and God!

I started the Fine and Fearless Lifestyle to help women put themselves back on the to-do list, face their fears, and become a better version of themselves. I believe that every woman deserves to live a rewarding and fulfilling life of love, abundance, and healing! This mission starts with me leading by example. It’s officially been seven months and this is the best I’ve ever felt in my life. I am truly grateful for vision, purpose, and provision. God provides for where He has called you. I compare my journey to the sprouting of a lotus flower, maintaining strength, prevailing through any obstacles thrown my way, and rising above adversity.

What should our readers know about your business?

Our mission is to help women put themselves back on their to-do list, face their fears, and become better versions of themselves.

Unify. At the Fine and Fearless Lifestyle, we believe in the power of coming together and working towards a common goal. We choose collaboration over competition to create purposeful relationships and a shared vision.

Educate. At the Fine and Fearless Lifestyle, we help women make self-care possible and practical by providing community, tools, and resources to empower the Queen in you. We want every woman to fall in love with taking care of herself.

Empower. At the Fine and Fearless Lifestyle, we believe that taking the time to help women figure out who they are and how they can pour back into themselves can truly make a difference in a woman’s confidence and how she shows up daily.

I am most proud of our beauty and soul boxes. The Fine and Fearless Fuel Box was perfectly curated for your hands-on approach in your healing and self-care journey. This box is geared towards providing women with the tools and resources to empower the “Queen” in each of us.

Even as a self-care advocate, I’ve lost sight of my own needs and goals. So, the new and exclusive self-care planner was created to help make self-care possible and practical for all of us. This planner includes regular daily tasks, daily self-care activities, affirmations, goal setting, and so much more. Learning to prioritize myself was not an easy task because it’s taking time to unlearn and relearn. I compare my journey to the sprouting of a lotus flower, maintaining strength, prevailing through any obstacles thrown in my way, and rising above adversity.

I believe that every woman deserves to live a rewarding and fulfilling life of love, abundance, and healing!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Let’s see! I’m a foodie. We would definitely start with food and drinks! Brunch on Sundays! I love a great brunch spot with bottomless mimosas. Yes, please! A few of my brunch spots are Mimosa Grill, Ink n’ Ivy, and Fahrenheit. I love fashion and shopping. I usually shop online but can find some last-minute pieces at the mall.

Since the pandemic, I actually enjoy small intimate settings with occasion popouts. We would visit Crowders Mountain for a hike and enjoy a massage afterward.

There’s a dope selfie museum, Kapture, owned by a black woman. A good selfie is a must!

Honestly, there is so much to do in Charlotte, so it all depends on the person and their preferences. I hosted the Annual Fine and Fearless Weekend, where women can experience some self-care and fun!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

Yes, of course! First and foremost, I want to thank God for the vision, favor, and mercy. Also, I would like to thank my ancestors for all of their sacrifices, resilience, tenacity, guidance, and love. I wouldn’t be here without them! I am my ancestor’s wildest dream and legacy!

I have to also shout out my family and friends who are supportive on this journey, whether it’s a listening ear or a strategizing session, thank you! Networking has been a major key in my life and business. On this entrepreneurial journey, I’ve learned the importance of surrounding yourself with like-minded people. The motivation and encouragement have been a huge boost for my confidence. Iron sharpens iron.
