We had the good fortune of connecting with Candice Thibodeaux and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Candice, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
One of my favorite quotes that I’ve also adopted as a life mantra is “Work harder on yourself than you do on your job”. We should work hard for what we want and in addition to that working smart is a cheat code. One of the ways to do that is by working on yourself, building your skills, so when it’s time to show up, you do so in excellence.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My mission is to serve, empower, and inspire and I do that with my writing, speaking, coaching, and short films. I am most proud of seeing peoples lives transform after reading my work or having a consultation with me. As a Mindset Strategist, people come to me to invest in their next level shift and right now, I help women reset and restructure their mindset and reclaim their confidence so they could live the life they love! It’s a beautiful journey, has it been easy? Absolutely not, I am always in this place of molding and evolving in order to serve people from a fresh and pure space. I overcame my challenges by being a student, if I failed at something, that failure serves as a check point that there is still more learning to do. You could only go so far if you are choosing to stop being in student mode. I am always a student. I want the world to know that I was here and that I finished the assignment God laid out for me. People think that changing the world means you have to have a global brand and although that is the goal, I think we are changing the world with the little steps we take. Whether that’s smiling at or complimenting someone. The little things make a world of difference. I am a woman of faith and I long for the day I hear God say “Well done, my good and faithful servant”. That matters to me more than anything. It’s a hard and probably unpopular road but I feel it’s worth it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ah man, this is hard and I suck at planning activities! *Chuckle* I would grab a few groupons and make sure we have some bomb food to eat that’s for sure!
