We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa Kebiita and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melissa, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me happy is my clients happy. I love when my clients feel themselves during our appointments and after. Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than knowing that my clients are very satisfied with the job I have done. I love making women feel good about themselves and I am blessed to do that everyday.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe what sets my work apart from my others is my attention to detail and perfection. I dwell on perfection and over time, my clients have grown to love that about me. My work is also very neat.

Getting to where I am today took a lot of time, took a lot of trial and error. Being that I am self taught, I didn’t have someone looking over my shoulder showing me the ropes. I had to learn everything on my own and I must say I am proud of myself for pushing till now. It definitely was not easy but no success journey comes without a few humps and bumps.

Along the way, I have learnt to be patient with myself. I used to put a lot of pressure on myself to be better but now I take it one day at a time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ohh this is a fun one. I love to have a good time. Depending on what time of year it is, there are different activities to do in my city.. My city being Toronto and must I say it is such a beautiful city.

Food places, I would definitely go to Fox and Fiddle, Lavelle, Moxies, Montanas. Oh and definitely the Keg – they have amazing ribs.

Places to visit – the CN Tower is a must as well as the Ripleys Aquariam. Just over an hour’s drive is the Niagara Falls which is just as amazing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mum has been my biggest supporter from the moment I started my brand. I want to thank her for her endless support.
