We had the good fortune of connecting with Inspire By Tyler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Inspire By Tyler, what matters most to you?
Authenticity

This principle matters to me because it is important to be your true self and not pretend to be something or someone else. There is only one you, embrace that person.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I am most proud of is quitting my job, during the pandemic, to pursue art full time. The transition has been very challenging to navigate, from customer experience to fulfillment, to finance, there are so many areas to be considered and managed. There is also the aspect of ensuring that I am creating new art and then of course the self-care component.

I’d like the world to know that I am my authentic self, I love my blackness and I also love the Lord and how much our relationship has grown.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For me, the perfect itinerary with my best friend would be as follows
We would go to brunch, get a boat and go out on the lake, hit a rooftop, and also hit a day party.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to shout out Minnie Watkins she is my art mentor who has really shown me a lot about how to be a better artist. She had spent an incredible amount of time training me.

Other: Tyler Clark is a full time Christian 3D Hair Artist. She attended Spelman College and Georgia Tech, studying Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering respectively. Throughout her schooling, Tyler has always been passionate about art as a platform to express her creativity. Once she realized it was also therapeutic for her, she decided to pour more time and energy into her art. She enjoys creating paintings that have mixed media elements such as fabric, jewelry and hair. These multi-dimensional elements are the main factors that set her artwork apart from others and have caused multiple pieces to be virally shared around the world! Tyler’s artwork has been auctioned off in the Wearable Art Gala for the past few years. Her art was also featured among the top artists in the country during Art Basel in Miami. Her work is collected by Taraji P Henson. Tyler has created a painting for Chance the Rapper, Burna Boy and she also created a painting of Quavo as a gift from Saweetie. Her art decorates Commons new school in Chicago, Art in Motion. In 2016 Tyler launched “Inspire by Tyler” as a brand that encompasses art, motivational speaking, and scholarships. Tyler took a leap of faith during the COVID-19 pandemic and quit her corporate technical job to pursue art full time. Tylers goal is to use her art to inspire others through her journey, promoting self-love, faith and women’s empowerment. Tyler is passionate about art and would love to connect with you on social media @InspireByTyler. Www.Inspirebytyler.com
