We had the good fortune of connecting with Ne’Shia Holden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ne’Shia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted something to call my own. That no one could take from me. I wanted something original with my own flavor. It was more about the future for me and opening up an avenue to support my acting career and make time for auditions and to film. In past experiences, most jobs would not allow me to do such and my future, time, pay were in their control. I did not and still do not like that idea! I wanted something that my future self would that me for months and years from now!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m proud to say Im an actress! I have true love for theatre, creating, and being raw. I believe that sets me apart from others because I’m not doing this for the love of money. I do hope to be extremely successful but art frees me. I can express myself. I can bring other people’s stories to life . I can have fun while working. I can share truth which I believe is missing in this world. The ability to be true and to inspire! Being a creative is challenging. Mainly because you are against yourself as well as the thoughts of others who don’t understand your passion and love for your art. However I got here today by believing in myself and realizing I’ve came too far to turn around. I played a man in my first stage play at Tennessee state University! No one believed I could pull it off. I did . I made everyone a believer. That changed my life for the simple fact I conquered when I was doubted. I proved to myself that I was made for this! I take that attitude of that moment with me everyday. “I CAN DO THIS!”
You never know how close you are to that life changing moment! I’ve learned so much mainly that no matter what it look like trust yourself and trust your journey! I’ve also learned that people will try to dim your light because they’re scared to chase their deepest desires. But that has everything to do with them and nothing to do with you! When you believe these things you will overcome most things mentally! A healthy mind opens a lot of doors!
Lastly I want people to know I believe in authenticity. I believe you get further being true to yourself. I’m powerful and driven and this is only the beginning. This is what my brand is all about. Truth . Rawness. Perseverance. Dreaming big. Being unstoppable.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting for a per say this would be t to he following things I would suggest:

Sunday: Boogaloo for brunch/day party. They never fail you for a good time.

Monday: Stone Mountain for a nice hike .

Tuesday: Taco Tuesday of course. I like going to Sivas for that amongst other places but I like their set up and vibe !

Wednesday: Andretti’s because who doesn’t like to be a big kid. We would definitely play some games and do go carting !

Thursday: Ponce City/Skyline park for even more fun! I love a good rooftop vibe and they have activities like mini golf, rides, food and more. Clearly I like to have fun !

Friday: We would check out Apache . They have different events so we might catch a comedy show or poetry slam!

Saturday: We would enjoy the night at Ace Atlanta ! They play all kinds of music and it’s such a vibe!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I primarily want to give my father his roses. He influenced me heavily as a dreamer and go getter! I always watched him hustle and was hustling with him at a young age. He never told me what I couldn’t do! I also thank Les Brown for his motivational speeches I’ve learned the words to as I watched them multiple times at my lowest moments. I still live by many of his words ! I also thank anyone who has given me advice and encouragement!
