We had the good fortune of connecting with Bri Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bri, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking can be very scary but they say success is behind that fear that is stopping you from taking risk: I’m not the biggest risk taker at all, I cannot stand the feeling of failing. However, with being a business owner you have to take risk and that’s something I had to learn. I wasn’t getting anywhere with my business because I was so stuck in a box and scared to try new things or put my work out because I was scared it wasn’t good enough, but i learned that that’s what life is about and you will always be stuck in a box if you don’t just take that leap of faith. You are going to fail, you are going to run into bumps in the road but no matter what you keep your head up

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
“I’m not where I want to be in life, but I’m not where I used to be”. The road to my success has been a challenge, but I love every challenge that came my way because it definitely made my brand stronger. I think my biggest challenge was taking risk and doubting myself. Like will anyone buy my product? Is my product even worth buying ?
Will people even support me? Yea, those type of doubts. However, I know that success is on the other side of fear, so I had to put my big girl pants on and step outside of my comfort zone. Stepping outside your comfort zone is very uncomfortable but it’s worth it. I learned that everyone is not going to see your vision, and that’s okay because it’s your vision. You just have to stay true to yourself and your vision. Stay locked in and prayed up. Faith is nothing without hard work behind it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well since I live in Houston, it’s so much to do out here. I would take her out to eat at the turkey leg hut, the food is amazing. I like to go to chilled bars with some good hookah and great music of course. That’s always a great vibe. I would also take her to go on a boat in Conroe Texas. The lake is beautiful out there

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shout out to my dad. He is not here with me today but he is definitely here with me in spirit. My dad was one of my biggest supporters he always told me to go for what I believe in and to never give up. My dad always supported my hair business and told me to go for it. I always used to send him pictures of my wigs and my favorite part was sending him my website that I created on my own. When I lost my dad it took a toll on me. I didn’t even want to make a wigs or continue my business but I felt him in spirit and I always remembered what he told me and how proud he was of me so he is my motivation
