We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Joseph and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Alongside of me running my business, another important decision I made that contribute to my success is modeling because It brings awareness to myself and my business. I get to connect with other people. It is always about who you know and because of the people I know, I come across a lot of opportunities.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is Beauty by Brittany. It’s a clothing boutique for women based in Houston, Tx. I am most excited about getting orders from out of state of Texas. That means I am getting recognition in other states. Being a business owner is not easy especially when it is just you doing everything. I overcome these challenges by learning to manage my time wisely and I am always looking for ways to improve. I want the world to know about my business is that my boutique is that the clothes I sel is not for a certain body type. In fact, it’s for all body types. So when my customers buy from me, I want them to buy and wear the item with confidence and to feel good about there self.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Here in Houston, it is a lot to do. So starting off with Monday, I would take my friend to a cool museum like The Color Factory and get some good food like BB’s tex Orleans. Tuesday, I would go to the downtown aquarium and then probably hang out at a lounge like Seaside lounge. Wednesday, we would spend the day at Galveston island. There they have Pleasure pier, schlitterbahn waterpark, the beach and tons of restaurants and bars of good food. Thursday, we would go to Kemah boardwalk. There is an amusement park and great restaurants like Bubba Gumps. Friday, I would go to a breakfast/brunch place like The Breakfast Klub. Their food is amazing. Afterwards, I probably would hang out downtown at Buffalo bayou park or ride the city bikes for sight seeing. Saturday, I would take my friend to a hang out lounge like Prospect Park, Kamp Houston to get some good vibes and good food. Lastly, Sunday, I would probably take her to the zoo and Hermann park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank you my modeling manager, Q. He’s always pushing me and keeping me on track with my goals. I want to also give my mom a shoutout because she supports me. I am able to go to her when I need advice and help.
