Meet Tammy Acree | Chef Heavenly Spice Blend Seasoning LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tammy Acree and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tammy, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite affirmation is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. What this affirmation means to me is that God has already planned my future for me and that this is my season for prosperity in my future and the future of my generation to come. That there is nothing that can harm me because it is all in his hands. What I like about this scripture is that it gives me hope in knowing that I have a future that has been planned by my Father in heaven and there is nothing that can stop me unless He allows it.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My spice development career began a number of years ago when I booked my first client for a catering event. The guest really enjoyed the robust of flavors and the aromatics that came from the food as the covers where taken off. I started from my kitchen in my home in Albany, Georgia in 1998 to share my passion for cooking and food. My background in the culinary arts began with instruction from my mother Patricia Seadrow and my grandmother Bertha Sheard. They taught me how to prepare various dishes for dinner without using measuring cups but by the weight of the ingredients in the palm of your hand. So, I became fascinated with cookbooks and all the culinary possibilities they hold that is a gift from the creator of all creations my Father in heaven. He has gifted me with the ability to use the herbs and spices from the soil to create this wonderful bottle of seasoning that we called Chef Acree Heavenly Spice Blend Seasoning. Cooking was my creative outlet and the paleo and aromatics from the spices are amazing and very healthful rather than harmful.
In 2011 I met the love of my life, had a whirlwind romance and moved to the Floridian area. I became ill and we moved back home to Georgia to be closer to family. After another lengthy illness and the pandemic Covid-19 I began to soul search and the birthing of my business exploded on Facebook with one post. Through this highly personalized service, I brought thought and care back to the home meals of our time starved society.
Without a doubt, what I love most about being a Chef is when my clients tell me they can feel the love and care that went into what I prepared for them and what a positive difference I make in their lives.
I’m always adding new creative seasoning to my collection, so grab your pots and pans a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy a delicious dinner with Chef Acree Heavenly Spice Blend Seasoning.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The first place I would take my best friend to visit would be Jerkin Ya Soul Caribbean and Soul Food Restaurant 428 East Park Ave, Valdosta, Georgia. They are more soul than Caribbean and they offer jerk chicken and curry chicken, pigeon peas and rice. They also serve oxtails, smothered and fried pork chops, mac & cheese casseroles and hamburger steaks etc. The food is awesome and the customer service is divine. They are black owned business owned by Katrina Royal and family. Our next stop would be Turner Center for the Arts that highlight on local artists, and has a lot of live exhibitions -music they offer classes for those who want to learn. I would also take them to to view the area we have some awesome farmers in our area and the history land and culture is awesome to view. I love watching the morning dew from the fields and the cows and cattle walking through the fields, the sun rising the beauty of the nature shows all of God’s grace. Our last stop would be fun time with shopping at the Valdosta mall and end our visit at Wild adventure theme park, water park, animal park where we can have fun on the rides and enjoy the wonderful water rides.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The person who influenced and pushed me to success is Mrs. Iris Jonas Allison-Hawthorne she is my beautician, friend, spiritual sister, adopted mother and a true woman of God cancer survivor. I was in a very dark place when I met her not in the best of relationship and she would always speak life into my situation. So one day I had prepared a meal and took her some of the food. She loved my cooking and would always tell others about my creations and from that day she would only allow me to prepare food for her events. She pushed me to my greater by showing me how to do business (purchasing business cards, advertisement etc.) and my catering business grew and I had more clients than I could handle. But with her help and acceptance of being a mentor I made it through. She was my angel that believe in my success and I am so thankful for her support and leadership. But I can not end this without giving a shoutout to my soulmate my husband Ned Acree who has been by my side the last 10 years assisting in our business and pushing me to greater heights. When I am giving a vision I take it to him and he never hesitate or doubt what I am doing, he is there no matter what.
