Why did you pursue an artistic or creative career?

Artists and creatives face innumerable challenges given that their career path often doesn’t come with a playbook, a steady paycheck or any form of safety net. It’s definitely not easy and so we asked a few of the artists and creatives we admire to talk to us about why they chose to pursue an artistic or creative career.
I do not feel I initially pursued an artistic and creative career; however, i feel that it found me. It found me in the noise and chaos of my thoughts, pain, and sorrow, and I utilized it not to escape but to heal in ways that my voice couldn’t reach. I pursued an artistic career because, at my core, I am art. Creativity flows through me like a second language, & photography is the medium through which I speak it. I am completely made up of creative energy. I would be lying to myself if I chose a path outside of the arts. The tricky part for me was deciding to pursue acting full-time.
