Sanaa Venkateswar

Coming to the States as an International Scholarship student has ups and downs. My work life was completely different from what it was back home to what it has become now. Back home I felt I had more freedom with my decision-making and actions. Nowadays a lot of my schedule has changed regarding my work habits. Since I am still enrolled in college I do have my classes but at the same time, I constantly research information that I use as building blocks for my brand and projects. Back home I felt we were semi dependent on our parents to a particular limit, but moving to a new country alone makes that responsibility of taking care of all your businesses on you. Read more>>

My name is Huoy Tyng, Founder of EHT Lifestyle, a Personal Trainer certified by the American Council on Exercise, and an Autism Fitness Trainer (Level 2) with over 8 years of experience. I have worked with individuals, including those with special needs, and various companies to improve their mental and physical well-being. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s in Exercise Science at Concordia University, Minnesota, to broaden my professional horizons and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs. When I was young, I had all the time in the world. I lived with my parents, and I did not have to pay any bills. It’s crazy how much opportunity one can have when they don’t have to worry about money. You can spend more hours on your craft instead of a job. You can take lower paying gigs since there aren’t any ends you have to meet. Music was purely enjoyable, it didn’t really feel like a job because…it wasn’t. When I attended Belmont, a music school in Nashville, I spent over 6-8 hours a day on my craft. And it wasn’t until my 3rd year that I realized it had become my entire life. Belmont’s standards of spending half of your day on their schoolwork was no longer desirable to me. I wanted to be out there actually doing it, not just learning about it. Read more>>

Our work life balance has definitely changed over time. While conquering our 9 to 5 and perusing our passions everyday, we understand the importance of setting the appropriate time aside to do what you love. We also believe that work life balance includes our community and the people we surround ourselves with.
