Oddly, it took moving to a place where my work and personal overlapped to give me a better understanding of how to balance the two. I have learned that, if you are comfortable with it, your work life and personal life can overlap some, as long as you understand when and how to implement boundaries. I’ll be honest, this is a constant work in progress! There are some strategies I’ve found helpful, but the way I approach it partially depends on my phase of life/current priorities. This past year has been one of the busiest in my life thanks to the arrival of my daughter. I’ve gone from working out in the world to working exclusively just for her lol. My focus and priorities have changed drastically. Being a new mother I am not able to do as many projects at the drop of a dime so it allows me to be a lot more selective when I do have to choose.
