What value or principle matters most to you? Why?

We’ve always believed that forming a strategy is impossible until your clear on what your values and principles are. Without values and principles to guide you, making decisions can seem impossibly difficult. Given how important setting values and principles is to decision making we asked folks we admire to tell us about the values or principles that matter most to them.

A value that matters to me the most is integrity. Integrity is important because it reflects my commitment to honesty and transparency in my business practices. By prioritizing integrity I can establish trust with my clients and ensure that my brand is known for being authentic and reliable. It also aligns with my goal and my mission of value engineering; As integrity ensures that I will deliver on what I have promised. The ability to remain genuine; sincerity. I think we should really count it a privilege when we get to learn someone honestly, at their own pace, while creating a space to hold it. Genuineness invites ease into the room and allows safe communion. I believe it’s a principle that holds no guards and as someone who is working on putting my own down — allowing vulnverability from myself and a hope for others to reciprocate — it is so appreciated. My thought process on the start of my business came from an experience that I had. I have a wide collection of houseplants, maybe over 100+ (I stopped counting). Some of them I’ve had for over 5 years and are rare species of plants. Over time you form a relationship with your plants because you put hours of effort every week into making sure they stay healthy. You also spend a lot of time viewing them and always remembering how nice they look by itself, in that room, hanging from the ceiling, or on that table. Read more>>
