What They Know and We Don’t

We asked insiders and experts from various industries to tell us something they think outsiders are unaware of and we’ve shared a few of those responses below.

I’ve always been a performing artist. I had dreams of attending Juliard and pursuing music and dance. Life happened, I changed and now my artistic talents are being displayed in film, theatre, and content creation. Read More>>

It was a tough decision to pursue a creative career. I had been doing exceptionally well in event production for corporate work and had even started to build a strong network of clients. However, I realized that my work lacked genuine meaning and felt empty. So, I decided to transition into learning VFX to contribute to the creation of interesting and diverse environments and effects that make up all the different media we enjoy. Read More>>

I’ve always wanted to do something in the entertainment industry, but I thought I’d be behind the scenes and I thought it would be in the music industry. Funny story, years ago one of my friends was at my in home recording studio doing music and he also was starting to navigate the acting world and he just told me I had a “look” and I could be in the movie industry. After about 6 years of ignoring that advice, I finally applied for a few background acting roles and I guess I had a “look” because here I am 4 years later, an actor! Read More>>

My passion for food blogging comes from childhood memories that I hold dear as well as love for the food industry. Around 10 years of age I worked at my Grandfathers candy shop. He had me doing all the displays in the window as well as stock the shelves. The memories of seeing all new candy innovations always excited me and left a soft feeling in my heart. As I got older I worked for a supermarket as a receiving manager. I was in charge of all new innovations from food companies coming in the building. That drove my passion to share with others on social media platforms. I feel like food is a common bond between everyone and it brings joy to see and talk about new innovations. Read More>>

Starting off, I was first introduced to the subgenre called Nerdcore when I was around 10 years old at an old friend’s house. This friend was much more into the internet than I ever was at that age, and they weren’t shy to show off the cool videos they found on YouTube. At that time, there were a lot of different fandoms and series taking off. Before I knew it, my friend had shown me a video that was a song over the series Five Nights at Freddy’s. I was definitely too young to be introduced to a series like that at the time, but little did I know that there was a whole community of people making music over video games and other nerdy topics. I’ve always had a desire to showcase my talents once I realized that people wanted to hear me sing, see me dance and perform, or see me act. As a child, I was moved to the low country of South Carolina, and there we didn’t have the resources for a child star that the larger cities had. There were no programs that helped prepare me for the phases in my career that I was fortunate to have found favor to do. I’m so grateful to God! Because I didn’t attend a performing arts school, or have access to a conservatory, Read More>>

I have been drawn to the arts for as long as I can remember. Even as a child, I often expressed interest in creative outlets and would spend much of my free time drawing, playing the piano, and participating in theatre productions, to name a few. In high school, I always tried to take as many arts-related classes as I could, and during my senior year, I was even invited to be a part of the orchestra for my school’s performance of “Shrek: The Musical,” an experience that I still cherish to this day. Nothing resonated more profoundly than embracing the creative talents bestowed upon me by God. I have made multiple endeavors into various career paths—areas in which I possessed genuine aptitude—yet I struggled to achieve sustainability. In contrast, my pursuits in singing and music require no undue effort to flourish; they simply come naturally, as they are my true calling. I have willingly accepted this divine summons, and I am grateful that God has honored my affirmative response. Read More>>

I’ve always felt like I’m a creative person that has the ability to create something out of nothing rather than doing a particular work for a company or business I don’t own or may never be a part of. Being a creative in my opinion is a way of expression & I live for it. I’ve always wanted to make it in the world where I can showcase my talents with my production & my artwork as if it’s embodied. I need to show the world what I can do & that’s the plan. I won’t ever give up until the world sees what I can do. Read More>>
