I feel that many times in our hunt for success we get so caught up in the belief that success is found in money and material things. Success should be measured by the impact that we make and the lives that we help. Many years ago a quote was given to me that stated, “Don’t just be successful. Be significant”. That quote has always stuck with me. As entrepreneurs and professionals our natural desire to want more sometimes shadows the fact that our legacies aren’t solely based off what we acquire or the accolades we receive. To me, success means achieving your goals and completing the tasks you set out to do in a reasonable timeframe. Personally, when I think of success, I get motivated to continue pushing forward each day. What motivates me may not motivate the next person; however, the feeling of completing a special project, financial gain, ownership, receiving new opportunities, and more are all things attainable through hard work and never giving up.
