Success is such a broad word that can be interpreted in many different ways. The world often views success as making a lot of money, or owning expensive things. Although I believe success stems from how many people you positively impact and how your actions and decisions can make a difference in the world around you. I want to leave this earth knowing that I spread as much love, kindness, and peace as I possibly could. It is my goal, through my art, to help each and every one of my clients love themselves in a way they hadn’t before, if I do this I feel I will have been successful. I’ll start with what I don’t define success as, which is monetary gain without fulfillment. Many very successful people have various definitions of success. The three that I relate most to are: “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it,” quoted by Maya Angelou. Next is that “Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm,” by Winston Churchill. Lastly, Michelle Obama wrote about Former President Obama, “For Barack, success isn’t about how much money you make. It’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.” To me, success is a mix of all three of these very powerful and impactful quotes. Success looks different to different people. My definition of success is achieving what I want. It’s feeling fulfilled while doing so and most importantly, it’s realizing that it is an ever evolving journey. Everyone can achieve success. It’s not your family, friends, contacts or background which enable you to do extraordinary things. It’s dedication, perseverance, overcoming adversity, changing your mindset and believing in yourself that enable you to achieve anything you determine means success to you.
