The legacy I want to leave behind is one of empowerment. I hope with each time I share my story I inspire someone else to take control of their own narrative. I want to be remembered as a model that empowered other people with large bodies to embraces all parts of themselves while unapologetically taking up space. I also want to be remembered as an advocate for sexual abuse survivors. I want survivors to know that they are the co-creators of their lives and have the power to dictate who they want to be in life despite what has happened to them. I hope to be remembered as a gracious, yet graceful woman who always kept her word & embodied the true definition of integrity. I made a name for myself. I want to be remembered for my good character & authenticity in the creative industry. I wish to be respected as a brilliant & timeless poet who positively impacted urban communities everywhere. I want Hood Healing Poetry’s legacy to be known around the world for welcoming urban creatives into a safe space that they can feel heard & seen; I want them to hold Hood Healing Poetry close to their hearts forever & let their friends & family know how much Hood Healing Poetry means to them too.
