First off, being a parent has turned into one of the most rewarding things to ever happen to me. I’ve always dreamed of being a father and parent because mine were so instrumental to who I am today – in a good way. I figured that obviously there’d be some adjustments and growth when raising kids, but regardless, my wife and I would be a great team, teaching our children everything they know, thus creating their own legacy from all of our fantastic teachings. BOY was I hit with a rude awakening when my oldest, Harper was born. Not that my middle child Charlotte and youngest, my boy Xavier won’t understand but from Harper’s viewpoint, he wasn’t born into having a father that “has all of the answers” or “is well put together”. The most important thing I’ve done as a parent to impact my children in a positive way is simply showing them how I believe in myself and by doing the opposite of what society expects me to do.
