in the beginning i wasn’t sure how i would obtain clientele—i was presented with an opportunity to curate Missy Elliott’s birthday party. unfortunately, the budget i suggested was too high for the person paying. i knew that this event could be the start of something great for my brand. the night before her party, i reached out to the planner that replaced me and asked could i help with anything and she said yes. i donated this massive purple balloon garland, it easily became one of the main attractions at the event. best decision ever.
