One piece of conventional advice that I would disagree with would be to “not take things personal” a lot of times when people slight you or something you do they always say “don’t take it personal but..” and in some cases you have to take things personal not as a slight of your character but as a sense of motivation and drive to always remember how things made you feel, to grow upon that experience and to get better at what you do or as a human being.
