We had the good fortune of connecting with Sta’Cie Brooks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sta’Cie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When starting my own business I wanted it to be something that I truly enjoy. Working for someone else you are dedicating your time and energy into someone’s else’s operation. Which leaves you depleted, you don’t have the time or energy to put into yourself. A job is can be a distraction that will block you from your creative ideas. It wasn’t until I was able to step away from a 9-5 is when I began to see my creative energy flourish. Taking back my time allowed me to rediscover my passions and invest my time back into myself. Your business is your brand. Your business should reflect apart of yourself, and it should be something something your talk about on a daily basis and happy to do so because your business ultimately is you.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I am most proud of as a Reiki Practionier is the feedback I receive from each person that experienced a session with me. Knowing that every experience is different, I’m excited when I hear feedback from people. I have experienced Reiki benefiting people emotionally, mentally and physically. The challenge I had to over come is second guessing myself, but with Reiki I take myself out the picture because it’s truly Universal energy working through me to heal others. Anybody can be a Reiki Practitioner and heal themselves and others. I am not special, I’m just a vessel being used to enlighten others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite spots to go on the weekend is Sunday nights at Bonfire ATL. It’s always has the chill and fun vibe I need.I can kick back and chill by the fire or be entertain but the local artist that preform on the stage. I always meet people that I can vibe with there. And the varieties food trucks you will be eating good.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
If I had to dedicate my journey to someone it would be my Reiki Master, Professor Jamela Franklin. When my father passed I experienced a depression and needed to heal from the lost, apart of me didn’t have the energy to continue with every day life. I completed talk therapy and it wasn’t as much help, but when I found Professor Jamela Franklin she was able to complete Emotional Therapy & Reiki healing with me and I was not only able to heal from my father passing as well as other traumas I was unaware of, from childhood and even trauma that was passed down from my Ancestors, that was embedded in my DNA. During this process I was able to learn a lot about myself. I quickly learned the steps Professor Jamela Franklin took with me is what I need to be doing for other’s in my circle. So healing myself would expand to healing others around me. I went from being a reiki client to a reiki student and have been attuned to a Reiki Master to assist others with their healing journey.
