We had the good fortune of connecting with Young Bam100 and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Young, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
To be a prosperous, long lived journey that can inspire to create & motivate people within this generation and beyond. Of course I would want people to remember me for the music I create, but more so of the person behind the music who exudes integrity, dedication, & authenticity.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a hip-hop artist/songwriter from Decatur GA, aiming to make my mark throughout this music game. I would have to say the authenticity with transparency, along with having that tenacious mindset to vividly paint the picture is what gives me that distinctive sound. I’m definitely proud of the progression we’ve made thus far with the team and more so excited to continue to lay down the foundation to get to where we’re destined to be. When you trusting the process things don’t come overnight, there’s been a lot of late-night plotting on ideas, perfecting my craft, then getting up to go to work to two jobs at the time, & do it all over again. I overcame the challenges by always keeping my faith in God, and doing the best I can on my end. I’ve learned a lot of things along the way but the main lesson is “It’s nobody’s business for you to learn about the music business”. I always observe & dissect other artists/creatives’ mistakes. The other lesson would have to be “Your only as strong as your support system/team”. You got to surround yourself with like-minded people if you want to succeed. I want the world to know that I’m all about integrity, authentic energy, motivation, & last but not least creating great music & leaving a legacy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Just to name a few, I would have to make sure we go to Gutbusters on Candler Road to go get some breakfast , anybody from the city know they be on point with that, Secondily, we most definitely have to go to the studio & catch some good vibes, then maybe head over to South Dekalb Mall, just so they can have that new mall experience type feel. We also, would have to go to J.R. Crickets off North Decatur just to hang out ,eat, & just chop it up about ,music, business, sports, life etc… I don’t really club like that but maybe step out to Premier Lounge off Glenwood on a Friday or Saturday. Those are some of my preferred places I would definitely recommend along with going bowling at Stars & Strikes or something like that, but that’s headed towards the Stone Mountain area.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First & for most I must give thanks to God for allowing me to build & be where I’m at today. Secondly, I have to give thanks to my family, which is my support system/village. Also the team CR(Chasing Riches) for fueling that drive to keep me motivated & inspired to want better opportunities for ourselves. Last but not least, I want to give a shout-out to myself for taking the initiative to take control of my own destiny, through hard work, restless nights & understanding faith without work is effortless.
