Meet Yanni Chin | Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yanni Chin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yanni, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My work life balance has actually merged over time. It’s fun at times, but it’s also like I can’t have the most fun at the same time. Don’t get me wrong, I love it! And wouldn’t trade what I do. Work is my life but I get to enjoy it while I work (if that makes sense). I travel, go out places, but I am working when you see me.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have my own videography/ photography, production business. It’s called, WSH. Entertainment, LLC. pronounced “wish”. It stands for “wealth, success, and health”. Business-wise it isn’t easy as I’m mostly learning as I go and from others. But as my first year concludes, I have had great success and nothing short of more is coming soon. What sets me apart from others is that I truly do 99% of the work myself, from bookings, to set-up, shooting, editing. Also, not using gender, but I am a female doing this in a male dominated field. Yes, eventually as my business grows, I will expand out and put together a team, but its much harder than it seems. Nonetheless, my success thus far has been amazing without one. Although, I do have a graphic designer on my team now who also is a DJ so we really do so much so far! Since this is a shoutout, shoutout to Qso, QsoWavy ! lol I love the direction my business is going, I have merchandise such as hoodies and shirts for purchase. And within the near future, hope to open up my own full production studio.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My friends and I love to eat! My first stop is always ponce city market. They have ice cream, sushi, pasta, and pretty much every food possible in one place. Then its located on the beltline, which is a nice scenic walk and even the roof on top has plenty of activities to do on a nice day! At night Edgewood has some good spots to check out as well, Fin and Feathers, Harolds, Escoseafood and more actually! All those places have hookah. music, serve alcohol and a real nice vibe with good food!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I really want to shout out Jazmine Cheaves. She hustles, a boss, entrepreneur, successful, a friend………. I can go on. She’s my number one client too lol. She has made my life in general more fun, opened doors for my business as well just by giving me an opportunity. My mom is also always right there from day 1 no matter what I wanted to do in life, she’s always supported in every way. Friends, clients and fans who support, repost, buy merch I can really thank them as well, wouldn’t be where without the support of them.
