We had the good fortune of connecting with Wardell Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wardell, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business is simply to create high quality sustainable product that make the audience think and my creative ideas to life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My company, Raine Dance Films is a film company that produces and execute top quality films, tv shows, music videos and community events. I’m very proud of the team I’ve acquired due to them being experts in their field and the trust and admiration we’ve built with each other.
Through hard work, dedication and sacrifice I was able get to where I am today. It was not easy be cause as a filmmaker you have to prove yourself in order to show you qualify for certain levels of funding. Producing many films projects and networking with like-minded in individuals, I was able to achieve these goals.
During this process I’ve learned that networking and building great relationships is key.
I want the world to know that Raine Dance Films is here to stay. Our film projects are designed to make you think. You will be able to relate to the real life situations and the chemistry created on set.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had friends come to visit I’d definitely take them to my favorite restaurants. For brunch I’d take them to Grits and Eggs or T’s Brunch Bar. For dinner I’d take them to Houston’s, Atlantic Seafood, Frost Bistro and restaurants along the belt line.
When it comes to entertainment there are many places. Painted Pins, Six Flags, Stone Mountain, horseback riding in in mountain ridge, the aquarium and Olympic Park just to name a few.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Well I’d like to dedicate this shoutout my kids who mean the world to me. They are my reason for everything I do and why I go so hard. I’d also like to credit Tiffany Roberts and Pennye Rogers to my success. Tiffany pushed me to to become more than what I’ve imagined. To create my dream and stand by it. Pennye opened doors to be more creative and introduce me to a new world of radio and to be my right hand person.
