We had the good fortune of connecting with Visibly Inflight and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Visibly, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
At first, it was necessity. All three of us lost our jobs at the same time. We did not want to work for someone else when we had the skills to work for ourselves. In doing this, we learned what it takes to run a business as well as the benefits of creating something for ourselves. We are in full control which allows us to manage our own time as well as pursue other career goals, i.e music. In the end, we want to have a strong foundation for our family and children to benefit from for generations to come.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Visibly Inflight started as a friendship and grew into a movement. We’ve known each other 10+ years. The chemistry between us is undeniable. You can hear it in the cohesiveness of our music. Thats what sets us apart. True bonds. Was it easy? Absolutely not. We’ve spent countless nights at open mics, hours upon hours in the studio, as well as plenty of time and money touring the US. What we learned? How to move as independent artists without any backing from anyone but ourselves. We want the world to feel the energy we’ve put into our art as well as benefit from it. Majority of our lyrics are intended to inspire and uplift. Our goal is to raise your vibrations with feel good music and powerful messages.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d definitely recommend visiting Little Five Points and Edgewood. A lot of Atlanta’s Soul is there. East Atlanta Village is also a great place. Red Top Mountain and Arabia Mountain are great places to enjoy some of Atlanta’s natural scenery. Some great places to eat are Fellini’s, Goodfellas and Vortex. Atl is also jam packed with Vegan restaurants. Slutty Vegan and the WTF Vegan food truck are a must try. The Botanical Gardens and The High Museum of Art are highly recommended as well. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, we want to send a HUGE shoutout to Jamee Cornelia. She’s a powerhouse in the Atlanta music scene as well as a former member of Visibly Inflight. Without her, who knows where we’d be. Second we want to dedicate some of our energy to Paulo Coelho. “The Alchemist” was pivotal in our development in the early stages of our career.
