We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Mateu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe the most important factor behind my success is having a firm foundation with the Lord Jesus Christ. I have worked my butt off for everything that I have done. But I didn’t do it alone. Yes, I have my amazing family who supported me through school, through hard challenges, and through all of my successes. But God, most of all, has led me where I am today.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me apart from others is that I started this out of very young age, and literally did not stop. Took me a long time to even have a little bit of confidence in my work, but it was only because I thought I had to have the best equipment, the best Locations, but it was just all about my brain what it could create. I’m most proud of the fact that I got through the hardest of times when I wanted to quit because my industry consist of tons of talented people. I end up surprising myself with what I can do. I got to where I’m at professionally because I worked all the time and I had a lot of people around me telling me that I could do it. It wasn’t easy at all, and I had to make a lot of sacrifices, and still do. I’ve learned a lot of lessons, but the most important one to me, is to make sure to keep your head straight and use the gift that God’s giving you for His glory. I want the world to know about my brand and story that I am 100%, absolutely, and definitely going to be showing the love of Christ, even in my work. Without Him, I am nothing. I didn’t chose him, He chose me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend is coming to visit the area that I am in, I would take her to places that I grew up, places that tell a story that I have actually gone through in my life, and even places that we’d make new memories with. My favorite restaurants would definitely be on the list, places that include gaming, or go carts would be on the list. But most of all, I think I take her to my mom‘s house because she makes the best food! In my view, the best and most fun places for people to check out, would be some food, and some Jesus!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There is a lot of people I would like to dedicate this too! Number 1, Jesus Christ! I have my incredibly supportive parents and family who have pushed me throughout the years to continue my craft, even when I wanted to stop. My teachers in my college, who push me out of my comfort zone and made me realize I am good at certain things I didn’t want to do. My boyfriend who has supporting me for the entire process of getting it through school and getting my first job, and my best friends who have modeled for me and made my photos and videos look really good! Everyone involved has brought a light into my life and they never had any doubts of me and my work.
