We had the good fortune of connecting with Tysiah Tarter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tysiah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was a lot of people like custom work and I knew that I had the talent to show off my work and start something from it. Whether I knew exactly what I was doing or not. I knew how to being professional and run a mini business off of past jobs.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Customzred is literally just me being me. Having my own creative mind flow through different artwork and making things different from others. I love doing a lot of freehand work only because I like to challenge myself on things that might be hard to other artists. I’m mostly proud about how I can make a lot of things come to live an surprise a lot of my followers and supporters. How I got here was from Instagram. Building that business page and having my family, friends and my followers from my main page follow my business to help grow the followers and to directly point people to that page for anything crafty and creative. It definitely took some time and is still a little challenging but what’s life without a challenge and what’s a business with the struggle.
What I want the world to know about my brand is that I love doing this. I don’t do this to just make money. I do this because I see myself having something with it to make it bigger and 10 times better. I have real goals for Customzred that I would LOVE to make happen. Customzred isn’t just about me, it’s about a community of people that have the same passion or any other passion that just want to live their life the way they see it to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m originally from a small city called Johnson City, TN so living here in Atlanta, GA it’s always something different to do, eat and try. Me personal I love trying different food spots. Atlanta is full of new and slept on food places. I would say one of my favorite places to eat when I’m in the mood for Jamaican food is Caribbean Mango in downtown Atlanta. The food so good and delicious. Somethings that I enjoy doing is going to Piedmont park and hangout with friends there. Vibe to so music and snack on some finger foods. Really just enjoy the outside weather.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to say thank you for my family, my mom, sisters, and brothers. They were first group of people that really supported me from the beginning and still support me without a doubt. I want to say thank you to my boyfriend Rashad, who supported me from literally the first time I told him about my business. No questions asked he showed it. I want to thank my close friends / best friends who also just believed in me and who also helped me with ideas and creative things that I could do on different projects. All in all I just want to thank everybody who has has shown support of my business a long the way. Without the random supporters I wouldn’t had a lot of clientele that I have now. I truly appreciate everybody that has helped me with my journey.
