We had the good fortune of connecting with Truly Yours Coordinator and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Truly, what do you attribute your success to?
How much we care for our brides and everyone we work with to make our couples dream day come to life has been a huge factor to our success. It’s not just about us it’s about the team you create and work with to make it happen. Being a good team player makes a huge difference and caring about the smallest of details. We love what we do and it shows. We work great together and balance each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We’ve also had amazing couples that we’ve been blessed to work with. It has been a great journey so far!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As your coordinators we are not only coworkers we’re best friends, this synergy allows us to work so well together and have such a strong understanding of what sets us apart. We have a system in place that keeps us accountable and our personalities make the day run smoothly for not only our couples but the vendors we work with. We both have a strong work ethic and are not afraid of getting dirty and doing what needs to be done. We have learned so much throughout the way of what works for us and what doesn’t. It was not easy to get to this point. We are huge in communicating with one another and coming up with game plans. We’ve learned we both have different styles and have managed to merge both seamlessly. We want the world to know that this is just the beginning for Truly Yours! We are 2 friends, wives, mother, daughters, friends who decided to take a leap of faith and start this business to guide brides through mistakes we’ve seen in our lifetime and to make this day the best experience for them. We want to empower other women to venture out and start their dreams! It’s never too late.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is so much to do in Orlando that I would need longer than a week. However, if I only had a week I would make it the most of it by first starting with Disney World and Universal. That alone would take 2-3 days to enjoy the parks and Disney Springs where we would eat at The Boathouse! The next day, I would then take them to Winter Park to walk around and take in the scenery which would entail a boat tour, dinner at Prato, and end at the wine room for some great wines and charcuterie boards. The next day, we would go to the outlets and splurge on some good deals! At night I would then take them to Propag8, we love a good speakeasy bar and the best one is located in Windermere. On the weekend, I would take them to the Farmers Market downtown and walk around the city and try out Rusteak for brunch to then head to Novelty where they serve Florida’s #1 vodka called P1 Vodka! So many great restaurants and hidden gems in this beautiful city.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many shoutouts we’d love to give. First of all our husbands, family, and friends. They have supported us since day 1. We were able to start because of our close friends who were getting married and trusted in us to coordinate their wedding day. We would not be here if it weren’t for those few people that believed in us and our passion to give us the opportunity to start! We also want to shout out Brandee Gaar and her “She who dares podcast”. She may not know it, but we’ve learned so much through her and listening to so many talented people she’s interviewed.
