Hi Trinity, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The most important decision I ever made, in regards to my success surrounding my business was starting a tiktok account! That tiktok account generated over 80% of my current revenue and returning customers. It also set the base for my business after a video hit about a million views, and brought in a lot of new customers ! The tiktok platform is extremely helpful for small businesses. It introduces you to audiences so fast that it can almost change your life overnight! I believe it is the strongest social media business tool aside from instagram!

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is called Cozmetix Avenue! I started my business at 15 years old, on June 3, 2020 and I made my very first sale in October of that year!

Originally, my business was based around cosmetics, but recently I split my business into two different websites, one for cosmetics and one for clothing, apparel, and accessories!
My brands mission is to have high quality products for low prices. I did this because I believe everyone should express themselves and wear what they want without having to spend so much money!

My business started off extremely slow, but my consistency and determination is what brought me to where I am now.
I got to where I am today by promoting myself nonstop and always finding new ways to get myself out there. I posted on both instagram and tiktok almost everyday, if not everyday and all of that finally paid off when one of my videos hit a million views on tiktok. After that, I got over 100 orders in a day and continued to get more and more orders after that.
The most important thing i’ve learned from owning a business thus far is that patience is key! It can take a long time for a business to grow and start getting sales, and it’s super important to never give up and to always stay consistent for the best results.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit my city for a week, I would take them to Cheddar’s for dinner, Dave and Busters for fun and games, and the movie theater for entertainment within the first 3 days! For the second half of the week, I would take them to the pool, to six flags, and to a comedy show. The most fun thing to do in my area is probably Dave and Busters because it is full of games, food, and entertainment!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A lot of my success and growth has branched from the support of my mom. She invested in my business, and helped me overcome obstacles along the way. She always gives great advice during hard times and an abundance of support every step of the way. My dad also contributed a lot to my business! He created my original logo, which I still use and he helped me with my legal information and business setup! He also supports my business goals and pushes me to become a better business owner everyday !
