We had the good fortune of connecting with Trenise Elmore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trenise, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create a safe space for others to tell their story. We live in a world where the media finds joy in manipulating stories to gain attention and money. I have a problem with that. Our stories are a light. They connect us in so many ways while we are all on different paths.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is my passion to partner with my clients to assist them with translating their story to visual art. I’m so proud that this is what I’m known for today. It’s cool to be able to be make money while doing what I love but that doesn’t matter to me. I get to travel the world and meet amazing people because they trust me to capture and craft their stories. This year will make 11 years I’ve been pursuing my dream and I’m just getting started. In the beginning it was challenging finding my niche because I was trying to photograph and film any and everything but once I established my why, I was able to see what God was trying to show me. It was then I also learned that if I didn’t position myself to always hear God, the journey was going to be very rocky. Having God at the center of my business has changed and continues to change my life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would plan a cute brunch in Piedmont Park and get some sun. We would then head over to The Victorian Atlanta in the Ponce City Market to look at the plants and most likely end our day at Dat Fire Jerk Chicken to get the veggie plate with a cucumber & rosemary drink.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to God! Through this journey I’ve been able to discover and continue to discover just what we’ve been created for and how to live on life with purpose. There are so many people and opportunities God has placed in my path and I’m thankful. From my family to the strangers I meet in passing, I’m thankful.
