We had the good fortune of connecting with Trenae Curry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trenae, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Tc’s Art Gallery,LLC was created to outline the skills and talents of who I am as a individual and as a artist. I took it upon myself to start my business to not only shine within it with my creativity. But to help inspire others to continue theirs and to show off their services and skills. Tc’s Art Gallery,LLC provides services to other businesses to help them grow the best way we can with the skills we know. We provide Custom Logo Design, Updating Websites / Creating Websites, Social Media Advertising, Social Media Managing, and other custom services. Since the start of Tc’s Art Gallery,LLC I have been blessed with seeing more and more opportunities to not only grow within my own company but helping others grow as well.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an artist, I love being able to have an escape from reality when it comes to me painting and being able to express myself creatively. I love being able to also tell a story within my paintings and letting my audience tell me what they think about my painting. I also, noticed whenever I have my art gallery events everyone thinks completely different even if the statement is clearly in the essence of the painting.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I were to take my friend around the city for their first time in the city of Detroit. I would take them to a few of Detroit’s Historical Places. Such as The Eastern Market, The GM Building, The DIA, The Renaissance Building, The New Center One Area, and More. Then I would take them to more fun places like the arcade, the escape rooms, The Ford Drive In, and more. An far as the food places I would take them to Buddy’s Pizza, Townhouse, Tony’s Tavern, Super Crisp, Ima’s, and More.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to first give a major shoutout to God for always guiding me and blessing me with an abundance of new opportunities in my life. Secondly, I would love to shoutout my parents for being there with me especially my mother for helping me when it comes to starting a business and how to work independently. Lastly, I would love to shine another major light on my former art teacher Manal Kadry. If it was not for her pushing me like she did I wouldn’t have started Tc’s Art Gallery,LLC professionally. She always pushed me to be the best version of me personally and within my art career. If I did not get that push that I needed I would not have be here with my art business or even in the art industry professionally.
