We had the good fortune of connecting with Tori Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tori, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Let me start by first saying, I am a country girl from Alabama. I hadnt seen or experienced much prior to me relocating to Atlanta in my early twenties. While I was here for college initially, I was immediately motivated by the hustle and drive I witnessed. I saw this atmosphere of educated and successful people as my opportunity to thrive. Seizing this opportunity, I’ve spent the past decade building three business ventures: a real estate investment company, a commercial cleaning business and my latest baby–a non-profit organization that focuses on bridging the wealth gap in single income households. I’m passionate about philanthropy and with the purest intent, just want to see people win.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience in driving organizational success and fostering growth. With a proven track record of strategic leadership, I have consistently delivered results in diverse industries, ranging from retail sales to operations. I have held various leadership positions, where I have excelled at building high performing teams, driving performance, and achieving organizational objectives even in the face of adversity.

I hold three advanced degrees, including a MA in Organizational Management, BA in Business Leadership and AA in Fashion Merchandising.

With a passion for leadership excellence and a dedication to making a difference, I am continuing my aspirations to make a difference with TAKS Foundation,Inc. The mission of the nonprofit is to empower single-income families through their journey of parenthood, by alleviating the unique challenges faced by single parents. We are committed to offering guidance, community, and practical assistance through advocacy, education, and compassionate outreach. Ultimately, we want to build a network of solidarity, understanding, and empowerment.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For entertainment, we’d definitely hit Red Martini on Wednesday for R&B Night, 404 Restaurant & Bar and Drawbar for the rooftop views

I am a foodie so I’d have to visit: Virgil’s Gullah Kitchen, Tulum Kitchen and Bar, and Toast on Lenox for Brunch

Treat Your Feet Buckhead for a little R & R

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My greatest accomplishment is being a mom to my 12 year old, Khi. My goal to lead an impactful life is because of her. She motivates and supports me in so many ways. I also have a strong support system of family and and close friends. Additionally, Principles by Ray Dalio taught me how to implement systems and processes to create operational efficiency while running a business.
