We had the good fortune of connecting with Tim Davidson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tim, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.
The Four Agreements, it really helped me in my personal growth and gave me a foundation on how to control my emotions and they are 1.) Don’t take things personally 2.) Be Impeccable with your word 3.) Do not Assume and 4.) Always do your Best.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an actor, I give it my all and I’d say the consistent effort to be the best I can without comparing myself to anyone I set a goal and put blinders on, yes there are chllanges but it makes the journey better because all of it is a learning experience, if there are no failures and mistakes then you’re not learning in my experience, this is where you get better. my lesson is that you can’t be scared to make mistakes, it’s part of the learning process. A lot of people would say that I started late in the game because I was 47 when I started acting, but I started when it was my time, do not give up when times get hard and rough this is where growth happens, I have to remind myself of this during the so called low times, I called these times valley’s and peaks you’ll get through them if you keep moving, just don’t stop because if you do you’ll get stuck there.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Fernbank Museum, The Atlanta Botanical Garden, Atlantic Station, STK Steak to eat Old Fourth Ward, Piedmont Park, most definitely catch a play at the Fox, last but not least hit a Rooftop watching the sunset get drinks smoke a Cigar and enjoy the city view at night.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I cannot take full responsibility of my success up to this point, there are several people that contributed, first I have to give credit t0 God for being with me on this journey. Let me start of with Dwayne Boyd who first introduced me to acting, I only went to him for headshots and he convinced me that I should get into acting, I didn’t give a second thought, I started taking classes from him and things just started moving forward for me from that point, next there’s Angela Davis who got me out of my shell, who by the is a great actor and acting teacher, then then there’s my daughter who told me at the time when I started that I could be a great actor…Lol, my baby was only 6 years old at the time, I Think God speak to use through other people.
