Meet Tiffanie Davis | Founder, Content Creator, Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffanie Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffanie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
One of my absolute favorite quotes is: “When you Take the Leap, the Net in Appears.” This about sums out how I feel bout risk-taking!
I’ve come to beileve that taking risks is a part of my DNA. It’s played a huge role in my life and career thus far. Through my life I’ve found myself at a crossroads one too many times, having to decide whether to take the safe/traditional path or the one less-traveled. I’ve most often always chose the latter.
With that said, one of the biggest risks that I’ve taken in my life thus far has been moving to Paris to puruse my MBA. I left all that I knew to be comfortable to pursue higher education in a foreign country. No friends, no family, and no idea what I was getting myself into! Taking this risk opened the door to a world full of opportunities that I would have never thought possible had I not taken the leap. I went on to work for a luxury beauty giant in Paris as a Creative & Digital Manager and later started my busienss, Tiffanie Davis LLC where I now help pave the way for others to move abroad. Mind blown!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Tiffanie Davis LLC is a brand that equips big city seekers with the clarity, confidence, and tools to jump outside of their comfort zone and successfully set up their lives on their own terms in their next destination. I have a YouTube Channel (Tiffanie Davis) that I started in December of 2019 and Instagram count where I share fun, educational and lifestyle content around my life in Paris and also created two programs – the Get Over Your Ishh & Plan Your Move Abroad Course and the Get Over Your Ishh & Find a Job in France Masterclass to help people better navigate life abroad.
I’m most proud of the impact that my content and business has made, especially within the black community. I recently hosted a “meetup” in Paris for my followers and was overwhelmed by the positive response and by how many people showed up. They all shared about how much my content inspired them to move to or travel to Paris, and how they realy appreciated seeing an African American woman take the leap which encouraged them to do it too.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned throughout all of this, is that when we decide to live our lives on our own terms and walk in our purpose, it opens the door for others to do the same. I’m still in awe by the fact that me moving to Paris for my MBA, working in corporate here, and starting my own business here has led me to create content and courses that inspires others to take the leap.
This was path was and is definitely not easy! I face a handful of challenges every week, but seeing first-hand the impact that what I’m doing has made on so many lives is what inspires me to keep going.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have too many favorite spots in Paris that I’ve taken all of my friends who have visisted to and am constantly adding to this list! For one, we would take in the sun at Jardin des Tuileries and also hang out be the Louvre – there’s just something about sitting by the Louvre that makes the magic of Paris come to life for me. We’d also hed to the Trocadero for the best view of the Eiffel Tower. We’d have check out Galeries Lafayette and La Samaritaine – iconic departments stores in Paris and then head to a handful of my favorite restaurants – Gumbo Yaya for soul food and La Creole for Caribbean to name a few!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people in my life who opened the door to make the life that I’m living possible. First and foremost, my mentor Robin Fisher who planted the seed. The summer after I graduated from Howard University, she raved about a luxury MBA program in France and strongly considered me to look into it. Just a few years later I was on a one-way flight to Paris, ready to attend! Since taking this leap and navigating life in Paris (anad the many ups and downs that have come with it), there have been a few books that have helped me stay the course: #1 The Path Made Clear by.. and not to be cliché – Oprah! This collection of interviews between Oprah and today’s though leaders about how they found direction and their life’s purpose offered up a lot of guidance and wisdom. #2 The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo is also a gem filled with so many life lessons that helped me to be more confident whilst on this path. I’d also like to give a shoutout to a handful of my close friends and family members – my support system – for wholeheartedly believing in me taking this leap!
