We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiara Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiara, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
I’d say that the most important lesson my business has taught me is overcoming obstacles. Having a business comes with tons of challenges, some big, some small, and some even unexpected. One obstacle i’ve faced , was actually unexpected. One day, I was checking my on hand hair inventory and noticed that 3 of the wigs that I had in stock were misplaced. This event caused me to not only miss out on my profits for those specific units, I had to re-order all the inventory misplaced as well. When unexpected events, or obstacles occur in the business world the drive to continue would sometimes be overwhelming for me personally. After processing such emotions, I had to understand that things happen, and to remain focused on the overall goal and outcome that I seek for my business. That is how I overcame that situation, and will continue to conquer and overcome any future events/situations to come.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Adorable Collection by Tiara is a Luxury Hair Extensions business. What sets Adorable Collection apart from others is that majority of the services (shipping costs, inventory checks, purchasing inventory, etc) are all done by one individual, me. I am most excited about the future collaborations that Adorable Collection will have. Adorable Collection got to where it is today, by being consistent with promotions, and content. And, no it was not easy. Nothing in life is easy. It took a lot of work, making design ideas, getting content to repost, setting up photo shoots etc. Adorable Collection overcame these challenges by remaining organized and not putting one thing over the other. Adorable Collection is ran in a very orderly like fashion, which makes it easier for my challenges to follow suit. As a company, there’s been several lessons learned along the way pertaining to how to be a professional business. These lessons include learning how to properly communicate with customers, learning how to keep going after failed attempts, and more. As the CEO of Adorable Collection i’d like for the world to know, anything worth having in life is not easy. Believe in your own vision, and don’t feel the need to seek approval from everyone around you. You are your own competition.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my favorite spots in the city, would be Big Dave’s Cheesestake’s they have some very good egg rolls , and Flying Biscuit where they have amazing breakfast 10/10 every time . Those are two food places, off the top that I would definitely take someone who’s never been to my city. I’m personally not a drinker so unfortunately I don’t really have any favorite drink places. To hang out, i’d take them to Ponce City Market which has a very nice rooftop, with things for you to enjoy. I’d also take them to Main event. If you’ve never been there, you’d enjoy your time. They have a bar, arcade, movies, etc. These are some of the places, in my opinion that are interesting to check out in the city of Atlanta.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes. I would like to give a shout-out to my Brand Graphic Designer. Before, I never really realized the importance of brand identity in the sake of boosting my engagement. So, I would like to thank @ShopTLCGraphics via Instagram for bringing my content ideas to life.
