Meet The Funny Bombshell | Actress and Social Media Entertainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with The Funny Bombshell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi The Funny Bombshell, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think of risks as an opportunity to grow. The word itself signifies a possible exposure to threat or danger, so I’d be lying if I said that taking risks isn’t often scary. There have been moments when I’ve found myself doing everything to avoid situations that may produce an undesirable outcome. However, through wisdom and self-reflection, I’ve learned to invite healthy risks into my life.
I took a huge risk when I decided to move to Atlanta after the pandemic. I remember waking up one day and deciding to put in a two-weeks notice at my job in Florida. I called a few people to tell them my plan, applied for jobs, prayed, and set a date! I soon found out that I got the job I had applied for, and then I made my move.
I had no family here and only a handful of contacts. I simply followed where I felt God was leading me. My risk wasn’t without challenges, but those challenges built my character and made me all the happier that I made my decision. It was part of my plan to move to Atlanta after I graduated from college in 2014… It’s funny how life works.
I also take a risk each time I upload a video. There’s risk in caring about what people think, posting about trending subjects… I could go on and on. Each time I upload a post, I free myself from the risk because it’s all mental. I’m just doing what I love, and the payoff is both literal and the enjoyment from my followers and subscribers.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my training. I earned my degree in acting, and I rely on it often when creating content. I’d also like to credit my ingenuity. It’s rare to have all the resources you need to create a video. When I began creating content in 2015, I didn’t have a tripod. I would use things in my environment, such as my ceiling fan to get an angle or a book on my desk to hold up my phone and record. I like to think outside the box and find humor where most people wouldn’t.
I am most proud of the fact that I’ve accomplished my dream of having people recognize me when I’m out in public. I’ll be at the mall or the airport, and people will say, “Hey, you’re The Funny Bombshell,” and ask to take a picture. Sometimes they’ll just stare, and if there’s nothing visibly wrong with me, it’s usually because they recognize who I am. I’ve accomplished the goals I set for myself 10 years ago, and I’m excited about where I’ll be by the end of this year. I have a lot of things planned, and I hope to see them all come to fruition.
I got where I am today by choosing not to give up. It was hard, and it still is. Some days I feel unsure, while others I feel like I have everything figured out… It’s life! As a creative, you’ll experience several challenges. You overcome them by not allowing yourself to feel defeated.
Some of the most helpful lessons I’ve learned are:
• You have to find ways to benefit from a negative experience. There is always something good in what seems like a bad situation.
• If you “play it safe,” you will remain stagnant. I used to think it was cliché, but it’s true. You have to take risks!
• Be unafraid to speak up. You can miss out on great opportunities and become passive about life if you accept things as they are.
I want people to know that I built my brand with God. From my brand name, The Funny Bombshell, to the content I create, it’s all guided by my faith. I love what I do, and I am passionate about spreading laughter. My story is still unfolding, and there’s more work to be done. I’d love for you to continue the journey with me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It’s funny because I don’t like sharing my spots anymore! I won’t “gatekeep” too much, so here’s my list:
– Atlanta Comedy Theater
– Bar Margot
– The Red Phone Booth
– Atlanta Beltline
– The Fox Theatre
– A concert or basketball game at State Farm Arena
– 2819 Church

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate this to my family. Everything I am today is a result of the strong foundation and unwavering support they’ve given me. I’m incredibly blessed to have younger family members who look up to me and want to become content creators. It means more than words can express. I often share how rich my childhood was, thanks to my mom and dad, who instilled in me values and morals from an early age.
