We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacia Harvey-randall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was I needed to leave a legacy for my daughter and leave memories behind me as being part of making our community better. I do not want to leave this earth as a hard worker and nothing else.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from other is that when I walk in the room, I authentically light it up, when I host an event, I do not have to prep my energy, I am always prepared to bring it. I am very proud to say that I have been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and my passion for it has never left. It was not easy to get where I am today, because I was willing to go through the trenches, hear the word No, or she is not ready, before I received my Yes but I never gave up. I performed jobs that I didn’t want to do, because it is what I had to do to accomplish my goal. I overcame my challenges by identifying professionals that could help me, but I was willing to put in the work, I expected nothing to be given to me. The lessons I learned along the way, is you can do anything you want to do if you work hard and say focused. You must block anything that hinders your focus, you should not compare your journey to anyone else’s because it will only frustrate you, Your journey is Your Journey, and last but not least never burn bridges when the season ends, because you never know when you will cross paths with that person again. I just want the world to know you can have a career, a family, and business, and you do not have to choose.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would recommend that you use the Hop on and Off Tour Shuttle bus. It takes you to the King Center, tour of the arenas, and the Madame CJ Walker museum. Ponce City Market is a very cool place to hang out and walk the belt line. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a great lounge The Whitley Hotel Lobby Bar, and have dinner in Trade Root Restaurant which has a Southern Flare. Atlanta is melting pot of many cultures, so it is very hard to choose, however the city will never disappoint.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe my life to God, because he never gave up on me especially when I wanted to give up on myself. My husband Austin and Alacia, who told me they would never leave my side and if there is nobody clapping in the audience when I speak, I will always hear two people cheering me on. My long term friend Yolanda Doleman, who watched me grow from a hotel Front Desk Agent to a HR professional and Entrepreneur, There are so many women to name, that I would just like to dedicate it to every woman that has crossed my path and I have poured into them, or they have poured into me. They know who they are, and let my story be a light in your life that will keep your torch burning.
