We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Gibson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacey, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My end goal is help young women understand their full potential. To help bring out the hustle all while overcoming there own insecurities. I hope by the end of my career to have The Woman Hustler Business Center that helps create opportunities for our community. A place that is safe for young African Americans to build , research, and start a business of their own. My goal is to impact, inspire, and start our young women on their journey to success.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am the owner of The Woman Hustler and also a full time dispatcher for a major cable company. This journey has not been easy. I decided that my purpose was more important then just sitting at a desk 8 hours. I lost it all at one point of my life my dad, my home, and even my self worth. One day I to get up! I understood that I had a voice and wanted to use it for good. So I created my business to help inspire women to go after everything they were meant to have. The woman hustler not only provides inspiring merchandise, luxury affordable jewelry, but it provides mentoring and business starter kits to help lead women to success.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I come from a small city so there’s not much of a go to spot in my area, but I love places that allow me to implement self care. So spas, shopping trips at the mall, drinks at our local lounges, and sight seeing are always a plus for me. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a big shout out to my business coach Lee Campbell. Not only has she pushed me over these last few months, but she has allowed me to truly see the greatness within. I appreciate her pushing me beyond my limits and not allowing me to quit. I’d truly be stuck in my own thoughts had she not pushed me to see who I truly am.
