We had the good fortune of connecting with Sienna Maria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sienna Maria, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an artistic/creative career because I can’t live a life of joy being anything other than an artist. It’s my God given purpose in life. Being a creative is who I am and who I’m meant to be. It would be me denying myself and God if I didn’t.

What keeps you busy professionally?
As a singer/songwriter I’m always working on music. Writing songs is how I express myself and get my feelings out so although I haven’t released new music this year I’m always writing. I’ve also been learning and figuring out how to record my music myself. As an actress, I’ve been auditioning. As an aspiring screenwriter, I’ve been working on original projects that I’ll be releasing next year (yes, I’m booking myself!) This year has definitely been a year of preparation and not just with music and acting but with my digital magazine Everything GOOD and other creative things I have going like my Etsy Shop, Heart Fruit Co.

I’ve learned so much about myself and have grown so much in 2024, I’m super excited to share what I’ve been working on in 2025!

Please tell us more about your art. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My art is me. What I create comes from my heart, my mind, my spirit. Expressing myself creatively is a gift that I’ve been blessed with whether that’s with writing music, writing stories, writing articles for my digital magazine Everything GOOD, portraying a character in a movie or even designing t-shirts for my Etsy shop.

When it comes to writing music, it’s how I get my feelings out. Whenever I’m going through something, processing my emotions about life or the world whether it’s happy or sad, I turn it into a song. It’s such a beautiful feeling being able to express myself in that way but at the same time it can be scary putting those inner thoughts and feelings out into the world.

One of the biggest challenges for me as an artist is fighting the fear of how my art will be received and not overthinking it, sometimes we can stop ourselves from going further by overthinking. I’m still learning to let go and trust myself more. It’s my faith in Jesus, having His guidance and knowing His Word that’s helping me do that.

And it’s because of my faith that I want to be a light in this world and walk in love so anyway I can do that while using my talents and passions at the same time is what I strive to do.

I’m super excited to continue working on new music which I’ll be releasing in the new year, growing the magazine, writing and filming my own projects (I’m booking myself, somebody gotta do it!), Heart Fruit, and other endeavors. I’m always creating something new, I can’t help it. My art is me!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’re definitely hitting up the beltline, that’s my number one favorite place in Atlanta! When we’re there we’re starting at Hawkers to get a bite to eat, then to The James Room for the nice ambiance, then Ladybird for a snack and drink, next we’re taking a scooter passed the skate park and live music to New Realm Brewery to enjoy their rooftop. Next, I’m taking friend to The Battery and we’re eating the best fish and chips ever at Mac McGee, getting a drink at Fat Tuesday then to Punch Bowl for games and drinks. Sometime during the week we’re headed back over to the beltline to walk around Ponce City Market for more food, drinks, and people watching then over to my favorite restaurant Buena Vida Tapas & Sol for dinner. We’re also going to Atlantic Station and getting lobster fried rice and crab Rangoon from Sri Thai then maybe bowling at Bowlero. If friend wants to hear some local talent we’re going to either Apache or Buteco at Southern Feed Store on Tuesday night. For nightlife I’m taking friend to MJQ on Wednesday, Rocksteady on Thursday, Holiday Bar on Friday night and ordering a drink with my favorite locally owned tequila, Don Cosmé. But, there’s always events and things popping up in the city, there might be a free Flo Milli concert at Westside Motor Lounge, you never know what Atlanta will bring!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my mama!
My mom has been my biggest support in more ways than one and it’s because of her support that I’ve been able to strive for everything I want in life. Growing up she always allowed me to try new things whether that was dance, guitar, piano, modeling or acting, she always encouraged me to go for what I wanted to do whatever that was and continues to encourage me in all of my endeavors today.
