Meet Shikha Singh | Digital Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shikha Singh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shikha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started sharing online what I loved and eventually it turned into a business. In my personal life, I loved to help people and when I figured that I could help many more people through social media then it felt like a match made in heaven and a dream career to pursue. This revelation gave me impetus to build a business out of it. In order to scale it I needed more skills apart from creativity. I proactively learned how to handle a camera, color theory, photo and video editing. All these things took a considerable amount of time and effort. But persevering in my endeavors helped me put good quality content in front of the audience.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a digital creator and lifestyle blogger who likes to share her ideas and learnings in a fun and creative way. I share content about tips and tricks on styling, beauty and lifestyle. Recently we moved into our first house so slowly getting into creating content around home decor and home improvement projects as well. I specialize in creating video content. I create content over multiple social media platforms wiz. Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Tiktok. It took quite a lot of consistent effort and perseverance. I will not say it was easy at all but worth fulfilling. There were challenges in lack of skill set, self doubt, fear of judgement and maintaining consistency. The most effective way I learnt to tackle those challenges was to commit myself to improve 1% with each passing day so that I can save myself from overwhelm and do not be too hard on myself when things do not go my way. The biggest lesson I learned is to be consistent and always ask the right questions and only then the right answer would come to you. I am putting honest effort to create content which can educate and entertain my audience and that’s how I’d like to be remembered.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta has a different vibe as a city. It is bustling with southern charm. I would like to give my friends a taste of it. If I were to plan their week long trip I would like them to experience variety of things in and across the city. I would like to take them to Ponce City Market to get in touch with city’s history and personality. Crog street market is another gem to do the same. Mercedes Benz stadium is a grand evidence of how this city takes its sports so seriously. How can I forget to take them to Georgia Aquarium, after all it is the best in country. For hiking I would take them to stone mountain and show them the view of the city. Atlanta have really good food joints spread across the city. It’d nice to take them to Jinya Ramen Bar, Desto Ethopian Kitchen, Gu’s Kitchen, Mamak’s Vegan Kitchen, SluttyVegan. The Suburbs of Atlanta is blessed with some quite beautiful natural sight seeing places to explore namely, Tallulah falls, Amicalola Falls, Vineyards,

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out to my parents and husband for always believing in me and supporting me in every step of the way. I am also grateful to the amazing world of social media which taught me a lot and helped me connect with like minded people and amazing coaches.
