We had the good fortune of connecting with Shealin Terrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shealin, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The time it takes to create this balloon magic. Someone once said to me, “It’s just balloons. How hard can it be?” BLASPHEMY! There are countless hours & days that go into prepping for an event. And when you are blowing up 200-300 balloons for 1 event. It’s definitely just not balloons.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I pride myself on bringing personal touches into every event I do. And I can only do this by I listening with my heart not just my ears. I want everyone client to feel as inflated as the balloons I create for them. I believe that every gift and talent God gives us is ultimately to make someone’s heart smile. So it’s not just about the balloons for me. It’s about the joy I bring and create through the balloons. So I stay busy by perfecting my gift, looking for the best products, and researching the latest trends in the world of balloons to keep my customers & business Poppin’!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
By nature I am a home body. But I would have to say my most memorable spot I visited in Atlanta has definitely been Lips of Atlanta. It was a great time from beginning to end! The food and drinks were amazing. And the staff left us speechless. Perfect spot for Girl’s Night. Garden Parc Brunch & Events in Cascade as another spot I would definitely recommend!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely to my parents. They are the milk to my cereal, the mac to my cheese, the cinnamon toast to my crunch. They pour so much into my endeavors. I would not have made it this far without their support and love. I would also like to thank “my silent investor” for pouring into me and accepting my crazy obsessions and fueling the fire for them to grow rather than putting it out.
