Hi Shawndreca, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Nothing succeeds like the appearance of success” – Christopher Lasch I’ve always cared about my appearance. It was always important to me to look Presentable no matter where I was going. My thought process behind this was you never know who you might run into, or who might see you. One day that person that saw you can change your life forever based on your appearance. I wanted to look like I was successful at a young age know matter what struggles I was going through. Even if you have a dollar in your account nothing gives you better confidence in your growth and in yourself to be great, than your appearance. Teeth white, hair comb, shoes clean, clothes washed “ Nothing succeeds like the appearance of success” is my motto for Shades by Dreca.. I want you to look and feel successful when wearing my shades, and with anything you do in life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Well as you know Covid-19 changed everyone lives. With the losses and gains my world changed for the better. During the pandemic I was given enough time to re-evaluate my life, my goals, my relationship, and take a leap of faith with God by my side. I’ve work over 20 jobs and I was never happy. The pandemic showed me I could do anything I put my mind to. If I could run a medical office by myself I could run my own business and felt free. I’m so proud of my self for running a successful business during a pandemic. I wanted to maintain and keep my freedom. I gave out business cards I posted 3 times a day. My personality speaks for itself. When I talk to people it felt like I’ve known them for years. That’s always been a talent of mine, being extremely friendly to strangers. I make people feel comfortable when we first meet. With the support of my fiancé and family it gave me a little bit more of a push that I could really own a business. It was extremely hard at first but it was something I loved to do. I love talking to people and I love to Advertise and promote brands. So advertising my brand became easy. I’ve learned some people don’t like to see you succeed and can jeopardize everything that you’ve built. But if you have a strong foundation they can’t knock you down. Sometimes you may be at war with your own thoughts that’s telling you, you can’t do it, your not good enough, there not going to like it. I want people to redirect there thinking to positive thoughts only. If a negative thought can transpire every 15 seconds. Imagine what a positive thought can do to change your day to day thinking. Stop doubting yourself, because if I can do it so can you. Shades by Dreca will not only become a brand but I want it to create an EMPIRE!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a very adventurous person so I love the canoeing the boat rides zip line helicopter Rides, swimming, theme parks etc. One of my favorite spots to eat in Atlanta is Atlanta breakfast club I love breakfast and their food and drinks are amazing. To show my friends were all the celebrities are I would take them to LENOX MALL For all the lavish clothing ,purses, shoes etc. Lake Allatoona is one of the prettiest lakes to visit while riding on a boat.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My fiancé June Ballard has been a successful entrepreneur for over 10plus years. He is the one person who told me I could do it, when I didn’t believe it was possible. I appreciate his hard work and dedication towards my business he created my logo, website, business cards and did all my photos. He is the biggest blessing god has placed in my life. Without him by my side I probably couldn’t have done it. Without his support encouraging words and prayer I would have been lost. So thank you bae I love you always #14. Also my mother Fredreca Worthy. Without my mother I wouldn’t be the women I’m today. Thank you mom!
