We had the good fortune of connecting with Shatavia Luck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shatavia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought behind starting my own business was….”Why not?” I was always a fan of fedoras and I liked how people would style them but I hadn’t quite seen anyone in my community selling them. At that very moment I knew I had to do it so I did and my timing was perfect.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In my opinion what set me apart from others was the fact that I was giving many options. I had a variety of solid colors and I also had fedoras that had 2 different colors; such as a black top with a red bottom & other accessories. The Two-Toned Fedoras were a huge hit to my customers. I’m proud to have been in business for almost 2 years and I’ve sold out 3 times. However it wasn’t easy, the cost everything has gone up, so there’s been delays in bringing my shipments in consistently. On a good note I’m preparing for a new order soon with new styles and colors. We have one of the best qualities, color scheme, and my prices are affordable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them to Sudo’s Bar and Grill or The View Bar and Grill depending on what area we’re in. They have some of the best food and drinks I’ve ever had. The vibes are chill, I don’t mind trying new places , however if it’s spur of the moment those are my “go-to’s”.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I’d like to think God, he’s definitely my number one source. I’d definitely like to Thank My Family & Friends who continuously pushed, encouraged and helped me with my business. Also, Thank you to my Brand Ambassadors, Models and My Amazing Customers as well.
