Meet Sharmalyn Lord | Financial Consultant and Event Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharmalyn Lord and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sharmalyn, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had recently got a divorce and embarking on my journey as a new single mom and in the middle of a pandemic that caused me to be furloughed, I need a second source of income and I loved the idea of helping other people while I made a way for myself.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m own and operate a financial company, specializing in credit restoration and financial management. It was absolutely not easy, it’s daily work getting clients, keeping those on my team motivated and procuring clients. It’s well worth the freedom it brings me however to spend with my little ones. For the world I want them to know whatever your dreams are keep pushing in spite of whatever is going on, I started my business in the mist of a pandemic and going through a contentious divorce, now as a single mom I’m doing it and you can too.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Philadelphia we would have to do love park, my two favorite places for brunch (with mimosas of course) and end our night with dinner in the city.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Christine Walsh, my mentor. She gave me tough love when I needed it, forced me to see my flaws and deal with it and reminded me that God alone is the author of my story. I highly recommend self help books, go for no is a great one for network marketers, for women and men seeking to develop themselves to find the right one and sustain their current relationship I highly recommend love and respect.
