Meet SCR1B3: Recording Artist, Producer, Mixing and Mastering Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with SCR1B3 and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SCR1B3, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
My main reason is the pursuit of freedom. Financial freedom, freedom to control the tempo and direction of my life. Creating is something that I truly have a passion for. I also chose this path because I feel that it is what I was meant for. I truly believe I was put on this Earth and given this life to be a creative.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I feel sets me apart from others is that I have a wide range of genres and subjects that I can touch on in my music. Not only that but I also have extensive knowledge and skills when it comes not only to song writing but singing, production, mixing and mastering. I’m really excited to begin increasing the frequency with which I drop my music and to showcase my talents to the fans and all of the supporters that listen to my music. As far as how I got to where I’m at it has not been an easy road by any stretch. I had to deal with a great deal of adversity in life but all of those moments were lessons which molded me into the artist and man that I am today. I’ve learned along this whole journey that you cannot ever give up on yourself. You are the only one who has the ability to make a change in the world and that change starts with yourself. I’ve also learned that the best way to get to where you want to be in life is simply by starting. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. THERE WILL NEVER BE A PERFECT MOMENT! Just do what you love and move with purpose. No hesitation. I want the world to know that my music is for everyone. Whether you are from the slums or from a wealthy family. My music is for everyone to enjoy and is a reflection of the state of humanity and that these songs are meant as a way to heal.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d probably take them to the strip club in all honesty. We’d go and have a quick turn up and revel in the moment. After that we would definitely go to the High Museum and check out some of the exhibits there. Then I’d have to take them over to Wing Bar in EAV and Slutty Vegan as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve got to shoutout my mom. She has always been supportive of my dream to become an artist and is always encouraging me and giving me words of wisdom. I also want to shoutout all of my brothers for helping me become the man I am today. Big shoutout to Pastel Swade for encouraging me to take rap more seriously and just being a brother to me. Shoutout to Davii and Regan Frost for being supportive and always giving me constructive feedback. Those two are like brothers to me as well. I want to also shoutout my brothers Young Doc, Raeph Timons, and the homie Geryl. All three of these guys have helped me to grow as an artist and are some of the most reliable people I’ve known. My love for all of these people is boundless and they deserve all the recognition that I can give.
