Meet Sandra Heard | Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sandra Heard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sandra, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I have taken risk by stepping out of my Comfort zone by taking modeling jobs with different brands I have not used.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Something that I am most proud of would be not giving up. Getting to where I am today has not been easy. There has been some ” No’s ” along this journey that could’ve discouraged me, however it only encouraged me to not give up and to work harder. Some things that I have done to overcome these challenges would be praying and keeping God first and remaining focused on what I truly want. One thing I want the world to know about me is to keep a look out for me because I will be in stores as well as more magazines.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots in the city to go to and to take friends or family is the downtown area. They have some of the best foods as well as drinks. They have stores you can visit with some of the best designer clothes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a big shoutout to my grandmother Claudia Dorsey who encouraged me to start my modeling career. I also would like to give a shoutout to my mentors as well as photographers Kirstie Johnson and Christie Jackson the owners of Redemption Studio for encouraging me along this journey.
