We had the good fortune of connecting with Samiya Manning and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business name is Divine Beauty Esthetics (DBE for short). Currently located in East point, here at DBE I provide full body waxing experiences and also skincare services to help promote healthy glowing skin. DBE colors are purple and gold to signify luxury and abundance while transforming current and future clients into more confident versions of themselves after every service. I became a licensed esthetician in March of 2019. From there I worked for a boutique spa providing facial services and some waxing services until the pandemic hit. In March of 2021 I started working at a popular waxing franchise where I fell in love with full body waxing. That company helped me grow my knowledge of waxing all body, hair, and skin types. Overtime, I became drained with the environment I was working in and knew something had to change. With the support of my family and friends I was reminded to stick with my original plan and branch out on my own. When I started my business I wanted to treat my clients like family and treat them like individuals and not another number. I like to build some kind of relationship with each person because that is important to me. I want my clients to say, “My waxer/ esthetician gets me together every time!”I aim to provide a thorough waxing experience that will have you leaving my suite feeling refreshed and ready to take on anything. Growing DBE has its challenges but I just try to stay consistent, motivated, and I never give up. I just want people to know that I love what I do and I take steps to learn something new in this industry everyday. The future of Divine Beauty Esthetics is bright! What excites me the most about this journey is that I get to help people transform into a more confident version of themselves everyday. That brings a smile to my face. I know one day DBE will be able to help an up and coming beauty service provider grow in this industry and hopefully they’ll be able to do the same for someone else one day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Me and my bestfriend like to have a good time with vibes. First for a fun time during the day we could go to Spin Art or Slingshot because we are kids at heart. Then for drinks and hookah we would go to Blu Cantina or Happy Hour ATL. They always have good specials throughout the week. Then for a girls night dinner, we would go to Pasha or Rock Steady. The food at both of these restaurants are delicious.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My support system!!! My support system consists of my family, friends, and anyone who has supported me along this journey. They don’t have to support me, but they do! That means the world to me that they choose to make sure I’m ok mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually.
