We had the good fortune of connecting with Rob RITE and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rob, why did you pursue a creative career?
I always felt like I was an “outside of the box” thinker. And contrary to me hating school, I always loved English class and writing. I always wrote poems growing and up, and I always loved to dance and think of different ways to do things. At that point I knew i wanted to do something to expand my creativity and challenge my mind.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started out writing poems and got introduced to music through one of my friends. Ever since I loved the process of writing, recording, and engineering other peoples music as well as my own. It’s definitely has been an easy journey. I started out not being sure of myself and what i wanted and what god has in store for me. Especially coming from a single parent household and that parent barely being around to make ends meet. So when I started making music and came up with the name RobRITE and started my catch phrase “Do it the RITE way” it kind of just stuck.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So first I would take them to all the attractions as far as the aquarium, Coca Cola factory, and zoo for some day time fun. Night time we’re eating at Texas de Brazil. After that it’s only right that we go to magic city and onyx for some adult fun.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout-out to god for blessing me and to shout-out ATL for having me. I also want to thank my family for being my biggest supporter and motivation. And lastly I want to thank anyone that’s helped me along my journey.
