We had the good fortune of connecting with Reva Benoit and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reva, is there something you believe many others might not?

“Something is better than nothing” is a conventional piece of advice that I have not often agreed with. In my opinion, settling for something is the lowering of one’s standards. I believe high standards in business, ultimately aids in attracting high-quality clients. Having patience with a plan will allow for the opportunity to do it right the first time without having to settle, in most cases. Often times our visions are huge, and some aspects of the business will take time to add on– unless your budget can afford it, I suggest compartmentalizing the business needs and budget by most important with monthly goals of expanding products and/or services in budget-friendly ways. I did this, and now I offer so many aspects of Mobile Bartending thanks to this method!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

As a mobile bartending company that doesn’t just serve drinks at events, what we do here is art! Drip To The Rim Bartend takes pride in applying its artistic spin on cocktails; from tailoring drink menus and packages to bringing our beautiful classic bar to our client to add that extra sparkle. Our motto is “We raise the bar and bring it to you!” We believe in bringing integrity to the area where the liquor is poured by offering high-quality, trained, and certified bartenders for events of all occasions.

In addition to adult parties and events, we also host children’s parties and events with the option of frozen candy slushee’s or mocktails for our clients that are having adults and children in attendance, clients in the past have opted for our adult/kid package that allows safe serving for everyone. I take pride in being a part of my client’s special day of all ages!

Starting my business in the middle of covid, I knew there would be challenges, but the main challenge was being able to network with new clients. As a new business, networking is a very important aspect and it could make or break a business such as mine. I took to the internet to meet new people on various platforms and a year later a lot of my customers find me there to this day. Covid may have changed life as we know it, but being able to overcome the challenge of networking with social media and online platforms has really worked to my advantage, saving me time, and are producing residual results.

Kind words from clients via yelp, after an event is long over, is a consistently proud moment for me. To know that my services have such a pleasant impact on my client for their special day, in such a memorable way, always warms my heart. I am grateful for all of my past, present, and future clients I welcome many many more!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I love the Midtown area! Piedmont Park is my favorite park in America. There is so much to do such as have a picnic on the hill, or use the hill for a great workout. It’s also right next door to The Beltline, which is my favorite place to rent and ride a bike. While you ride, you could pull over and check out the many good restaurants along the way or you could stop over near the volleyball court, near the skate park and enjoy the sound of the live band while you people-watch or stop for a picnic. It’s so many things to do and can be very budget-friendly!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I would like to give my shoutout to my incredible, amazing son. Not only has he worked with integrity as an employee, but he has been the biggest supporter of my business in many ways. The love, encouragement, and admiration that I receive from my son on a daily basis is a constant motivator. Being a single mother, since 16, my son has been my motivation from the very beginning and making him proud pleases my heart and keeps me going. He is always lending a helping hand making this one-woman show work better as a team. To Derrian Jay’Shun Benoit, I love you always and forever.
